is an Indian actress. She debuted with the 2011 Hindi thriller film Yeh Faasley, and went on to star in the action comedy Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande, before making her international debut in 2012 in the English comedy-drama The Best Exotic 

Early life

She was born in Bangalore to a Gujarati father and a Telugu mother. She is a graduate in business management with specialisation in finance in National Institute of Management college.^[4]

Career

Tena Desae first came into the limelight when she participated in the reality show contest Get Gorgeous. Though she did not win the contest she was offered a contract with Elite Model India Management Private Limited which sponsors the reality show, even before the eventual winner. She has been modeling since 2007 and has featured in over 100 commercials. She made her acting debut in 2011 in the movie Yeh Faasley. She later appeared in the film The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.^[5]


She also posed for the 2012 Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar.^[6] and starred in the Bollywood action thriller film Table No.21 opposite Rajeev Khandelwal. Before this movie she has done a romantic song "Yeh kahan mil gaye hum" with singer "KK".
