Throughout the years she has appeared in various Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Telegufilms. She pursued her education from the well knownMata Jai Kaur Public School situated in Delhi. Following this, she graduated in the field of computer science from the prestigious Guru TeghBahadur Institute of Technology situated in the capital city, New Delhi and soon after obtaining her graduation degree she started working in the domain of software development. One of her contributions in the field of software development was an application made for iPhone by the name of ‘fontswap’.
Next up she started modelling before becoming an actress. She got the opportunity to showcase her modelling skills in the talent show hosted by Channel [V] called ‘Get Gorgeous’. Her very first Tamil film was a film called ‘Aadukalam’, directed by Vetrimaran. Here, she enacted the character of an Anglo Indian girl who falls in love with Dhanush, who plays the role of a guy from a village. At the 58th National Film Award ceremony, this film went on to grab 6 National Film Awards and Taapsee Pannu’s performance in the film was highly appreciated by all. In the year 2011, she shared the screen space with Vishnu Manchu in the Telegu film ‘VastaduNaaRaju’ directed by HemantMadhukar. Some of her new and upcoming projects include the bilingual flick called ‘GundelloGodari’ (‘MaranthenMannithen’ in Tamil), ‘Shadow’, ‘Jackpot’, ‘Valai’ and ‘Daruvu’. She will also be appearing in her first Bollywood flick with the David Dhawan directed ‘ChashmeBuddoor’ (2013), starring Siddhart, Ali Zafar, Divyendu Sharma and Taapsee Pannu herself.
